Bilingual Education Partnerships & Strategic Vision

Expanding free, integrated Spanish programs for K–8 and early learners

Mamá Maestra partners with school districts to provide Spanish language enrichment as part of their Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) or ASES-funded after-school programs. Districts can allocate their state-funded ELOP/ASES resources to cover the cost of instruction, allowing students to participate in Spanish classes at no cost to families. Our research-based curriculum builds language skills through engaging activities, music, storytelling, and cultural exploration, creating meaningful learning opportunities that extend beyond the school day. By partnering with Mamá Maestra, districts can expand their enrichment offerings, promote equity in access to world language learning, and ensure students benefit from a program that aligns with ELOP’s vision of supporting the whole child.

Lawndale Elementary School District — Free After-School Spanish Classes

In collaboration with Lawndale Elementary School District (LESD), we provide free after-school Spanish classes for all K–8 students. These classes are part of the award-winning RAP (Realizing Amazing Potential) program, funded through ASES and California’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). Students participate in STEAM, arts, leadership, and Spanish language learning—all in a safe, supportive environment.

Creative Kids Academy — Integrated Spanish Curriculum

At Creative Kids Academy, Spanish instruction is fully embedded in the preschool curriculum. Children are introduced to the language through daily interactive activities, nurturing early bilingual skills and cultural awareness as part of their foundational learning.
