Mamá Maestra offers fun and exciting Spanish classes. Classes are filled with music, movement, and stories that target the learning needs of each individual child. My classes are stimulating, engaging, and so much fun! Your child will develop comprehension and communication in Spanish.

Beginners Spanish
To my belief, it is easier to learn a second language when you have a strong foundation in your first language. As an adult who learned English in my early 20’s, I can testify that I used a lot of my Spanish language knowledge to acquire my second language. A mistake that many beginners make is that they don’t want to speak the new language or they feel ashamed of their pronunciation. My focus for my beginners is speaking, making proper sentences, learning correct grammar to connect words, and create meaning.
Intermediate Spanish
The intermediate class focuses a lot on gaining vocabulary, grammar and speaking. Students read a variety of topics with simple sentences and we discuss the structure of the language. We read and play games to gain knowledge of the Spanish language.
Advanced Spanish
The advanced Spanish class focuses on non-fiction and fiction reading. Depending on the class, we may discuss a book that we are reading. We discuss characters, setting, plot, and a variety of literary elements to make the reading more meaningful. Within the reading, students learn new vocabulary and proper sentence structure. I focus on correct grammar when speaking, reading, and writing.
